Romantic movies for the valentine

1. The Notebook

the notebook

Nicholas Sparks’ popular novel became even a very popular movie because of lines like these:

So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s going to be really hard; we are gonna have to work at this everyday, but i want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever everyday.”- Noah

And seriously casting Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams wasn’t bad at all.

2.  My best friend’s wedding

This is one of the most romantic comedy movie. Having Julia Roberts and Cameron Diaz fight over a guy was really great, but there were a lot of great statements, one of which was;

Kimmy says if you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud. Otherwise the moment just passes you by.”- Michael O’Neil

3.  Ghost

Oh my God! this movie got people into tears whenever they played the ‘unchained melody’. Sam (dead) trying to keep his love for Demi alive while trying to solve his own murder.

What will survive us is love.”

4.  To all the boys I’ve loved before

Lara Jean (played by Lana Condor) wrote love letters to boys she has feelings for and hides the, in her cupboard. Unfortunately, Peter Kovinsky’s (Noah Centineo) letter is mailed to him, and a pretense relationship gets real.

I wonder what it’s like to have that much power over a boy. I don’t think I’d want it; it’s a lot of responsibility to hold a person’s heart in your hands.”

5.  The Kissing Booth

the kissing booth

Elle (Joey King) and Lee (Joel Courtney) are best friends born the same day and same hospital. They make a set of rules which included rule #9 relatives totally off limits, but still Elle falls in love with Lee’s older brother Noah (Jacob Elordi)

You are the only girl that doesn’t fall at my feet, and it’s driving me crazy.”- Noah

6.   50 First Dates

50 first dates

Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) meets Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore) in Hawaii. Henry is a playboy who later falls in love but his dream girl has short term memory loss, therefore she relives each day over again’

You erased me from your memories because you thought you were holding me back from having a full and happy life. But you made a mistake. Being with you is the only way i could have a full and happy life.”- Henry

7.  Titanic

What better way to close this list. If you’ve never seen the movie, see it; and if you’ve seen it before, see it again. This epic romantic-disaster movie is a classic tear dropper. We see Jack (Leonardo DiCaprio) steals Rose (Kate Winslett) from her rich husband to be.

A woman’s heart is a deep ocean of secrets. But now you know there was a man named Jack Dawson and he saved me…in every way a person can be saved. I don’t even have a picture of him. He exists now…only in my memory.”- Old Rose
